OrthoAnalyzer
Orthodontic 3D Analysis software
3Shape's hard- and software solutions are well-suited for orthodontic applications in which fast and accurate 3D
scanning of full dental casts are essential. The R-700™ 3D scanner scans and processes a full dental cast
in 5-6 minutes. Faster scan times are possible when scanning in lower resolutions.

3Shape's 3D orthodontics software is currently under development and includes functions as:
Storage
3D databases accessible in a local area network (LAN) reduce storage costs and give easy and instantaneous
access to a patient's teeth profile. 3Shape has integrated its scanning and software solution with such 3D database.
Online collaboration and diagnosis:
Using 3Shape's communication software two practitioners at different locations can view and discuss the same
3D model and perform online analyses simultaneously using an internet connection.
Research and analysis:
With the help of 3Shape's and/or third party software packages practitioners are able to analyze a patient's
dentition -for example to assess the efficiency of an orthodontics treatment.
Analysis algorithms allow the user to measure the teeth size and position amid compare this data with
statistics of population's standard mouth anatomy.
Different measurement tools are available, user is allowed to pick point on the cast 3D model or on 2D
cross sections and measure distances. This also allows for easy comparisons among 2D cross sections.
Automatic calculation of contact and distance to antagonist
The orthodontic Software offers the user via an intuitive interface the opportunity to set reference points on the
scanned forms. Distances, angles and existing space can be very easily measured for orthodontic treatments.
Creating of virtual basis
Partially scanned models and tooth rims can be quickly and effectively created with individually variable bases.
Virtual tooth regulation
Teeth can be virtually separated and virtually moved to an ideal tooth sector using a step by step method
for a treatment plan.
